This interview in Le Monde is to be read online but here is a small extract.

Taken by his film "Napoleon", broadcasted in 2023, he also takes care of the production, of his wine, of his vines at the Mas des Infermières, in Oppède, in the Vaucluse region. As an enlightened amateur, he knows when his wine is good.

At 85, British filmmaker Ridley Scott is working on his next film, scheduled for 2023, Napoleon, which focuses on the rise of Bonaparte, future emperor, with American actor Joaquin Phoenix in the title role. Following the movement launched by other great filmmakers, the director will not release his biopic in theaters but on the Apple TV + platform, which has acquired worldwide rights.

Author of 28 films combining great spectacle and research, historical dives and futuristic odysseys, the filmmaker is one of the most renowned in the world, having made an impression with, among others, Alien, Blade Runner, Thelma and Louise, 1492: Christophe Collomb, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Robin des Bois, House of GucciNapoleon is not out yet that he is already working on a sequel to Gladiator.
